Renegade Studios Chicago, Founder and CEO, Cady Lanigan started out in front of the camera, although she quickly realized the asset of her leadership behind the camera when producing content. After completing her undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship, she moved into the path of producing and content creation. She grew to be an accomplished Emmy nominated producer working for various production companies responsible for highly acclaimed programming airing on The History Channel, TNT, TBS, ESPN and CNBC. While in the television world, she both developed and produced a 7-episode series for Lifetime Movie Network, “They Took My Daughter, We Got Her Back”. After the completion of her docu-series, Lanigan decided to enter the freelance community. During that time she produced scripted digital content and feature length films. She has worked alongside talent such as Ed Asner, Steven Segal, and Rich Little with distribution on her projects ranging from Amazon to Lionsgate Entertainment. Her content has reached the audiences of nearly 30M+ viewers worldwide.
With Lanigan’s passion for business and entrepreneurial spirit she eventually founded her own company, Renegade Studios Chicago – a company that views producing as more than just content but as impact. To develop her business acumen further she entered the intellectual community once again to obtain her Master’s in Business. It was during this time, she simultaneously developed and created, “Slotherhouse” a new comedy horror centered around Alpha, a new horror icon for the modern world. The film was done through practical effects and is set to release, October 2023.
